Hi there!
Let me start off by saying, how the f*@% is it JUNE already!?
I’ve actually completed a lot of my goals that I set for myself in the first six months of 2018 (click here if you want to read them). But I’ve also slacked on a lot of them such as cutting down on eating full pints of Ben & Jerry’s Half Baked ice cream. But I’m over here trying and that’s all that matters, right!?
Speaking of trying, I used to hate showering. Cue the ‘Ewwwww, you’re gross.’ Chill out people. I still showered, I just never enjoyed it. This was probably because I never had a set routine in the shower filled with products that I absolutely loved. Now I do and after reading this post by Lauren Elizabeth, I felt inspired to share my favorite shower goodies with you!
Let’s start with shampoo!
I’m pretty awful at choosing shampoo & conditioner. I used to get chewed out every time I went to the salon because my hairdresser knew I was using shitty products. So, I gave in and started spending money on a decent shampoo and conditioner and I noticed a change immediately. But recently, I have been obsessed with the new Kristen Ess line at Target. It’s super affordable and it’s a salon style hair care line so you’re not sacrificing your hair’s health for the affordable price. She has a ton of different lines to choose from but I just stick with her ‘The One’ signature line. These babies are only ten (yes, TEN) dollars and it leaves my hair feeling uh-mazing.

Let’s talk skincare, skincare, skincare. I have raved about this product for the longest time and I still use it to this day. It’s the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser and it’s a must-have in my shower. This stuff is super gentle on my sensitive skin and it doesn’t foam up or dry me out. It’s also not crazy-priced like most skincare products. Plus, there are three different sizes on Sephora’s website ranging from $15-$42. I can’t give this face wash enough credit.
Body scrub is another must-have in my shower. This scrub made a huge debut a couple years ago and now you can find it in some Urban Outfitters stores. It was super hyped up but it is totally worth the money. Frank Body is a coffee scrub and it’s perfect for exfoliating, especially if you plan on fake tanning after your shower.

I use exfoliating gloves when showering. I find that loofahs foam up too much on my skin and get stuck in my piercings (ouch) so I use gloves instead. The Charcoal Exfoliating Gloves do an amazing job at getting all of my dead skin off and leaving me glowing.

Last but not least, let’s talk body wash. I actually found this wash at Marshalls and I have been obsessed since. It smells so good, lasts forever, and it’s only $8! It’s sold out online (I’ll still link it) but you can just go into your local Marshalls or TJ Maxx to see if you can find it.

I need to switch shampoo and conditioners too. And I’ve been trying! But I’m sure what I’ve been using is still pretty trash. I need to check out Target’s salon haircare section. I’ve heard of that cleanser, also! I’m glad you dig it.
That lavender and coconut oil body wash sounds amazing! Those are some of my favorite scents!
Yes! So relaxing!
I love getting a peek at other people’s go-to beauty products! I’m definitely going to be checking out the Kristen Ess shampoo and conditioner, and the lavender & coconut body wash!
Yes, you should! It’s all amazing. The Kristen Ess line sells out so quickly at my local Target!
The frank body coffee scrub is my all time fav!
