Let me just start off by saying, I needed some MAJOR motivation this week so this post is not only for you all, but to help kick my ass into gear too!
Anyways, hey, how ya doin? Long time, no see. I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve written a post but it really hasn’t. But, exciting news! You can now shop ALLLLLLLLL of my looks through LIKEtoKNOW.it! It’s a really amazing app that a lot of influencers use, but that not enough people know about.
Let me break it down for you.
1. First go to the app store, or click here, and download the LIKEtoKNOW.it app! Pssst, it’s free.
2. Then go ahead and create a log in/password. Make sure you enter an email that you regularly use. You’ll see why in a second.
3. Now, all you have to do is like OR screenshot any of mine (or your other fav bloggers) photos on Instagram/Facebook and all of our outfit details will be automatically emailed to you! You can also shop directly in the LIKEtoKNOW.it app! Pretty cool, right?
So you can shop any post whenever you see the LIKEtoKNOW.it link at the bottom of my photos, like this:

So, yeah. That’s what I’ve been up to. I feel like I’ve gotten so much done this year, but then I realize that it’s almost the end of February. WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING!?
I still feel wiped out from the holidays, and I’m struggling to get back into a routine. But I’m getting there. Slowly, but surely.
Behold… I’m going to give you a couple tips of mine that usually help me get back into the groove of life and back into a steady routine.
Get a planner
OK. Let me just tell you this is so important for kicking your ass back into gear. There’s nothing more helpful then writing down each deadline, to-do list, and plan you have. Not only does this help you plan your upcoming months, but it will help you from feeling completely scatterbrained.
Plan a vacation. Set up lunch with an old friend. If you blog, set up your editorial calendar. If you’re in school, write down your due dates and deadlines. Write. Everything. Down. Being able to reference back when you need to will help you minimize stress and make you feel as if you have your shit together. Which you do, and it’s all in your planner.
Btw, I’m a major planner hoarder. I’ll buy multiple planners a year because I get bored of the one’s I have. I know, it’s weird. But shop some of my favorites below!
Wake up at the same time everyday
They say it takes about a month or so for a new behavior to become automatic. If you’re used to sleeping in and waking up at different times every day, it’s probably hurting your motivation mojo. Think of an activity you could do each morning whether it’s going for a walk, going to get coffee, or making breakfast. Do it at the same time every morning and you will notice that it gets easier and easier each time.
The same goes for bedtime. Gone are the days where I can stay up until 3am (I’m only 24, wtf?) but I still have trouble turning the lights out at the same time each night. The earlier the night, the better you will feel in the morning. The more consistent you are, the more of a habit it will become for you and really help you back into a steady regimen.
Spring clean your home (and wardrobe)
I did this just the other day and the difference is INSANE. I feel like I hit a ‘restart’ button in my life and freed myself of all of the holiday clutter and mess in my home. Deep clean your home. Make your place feel new. Not only will this give you a cozy and clean abode, but it will help declutter your mind and help you think freely without having to worry about chores.
While you’re at it, clean out your wardrobe too. Pack away all your sweaters (neatly) and your coats and get your closet ready for the warmer wardrobe. Give away some clothes to charity, and go shopping for some new sundresses and sandals to get ready for Spring. Ok, so the shopping is completely unnecessary to staying motivated, but whatever.
Set realistic short term goals
If you haven’t seen my 2018 goals yet, you can read them here. But these aren’t really the goals I’m talking about. Set short term goals for Spring, maybe a couple months long. The shorter ‘deadline’ will keep you on your toes. You’ll also end the season feeling accomplished and be able to look back and see all your successes. Your goals could be work related, life related, or health related. You could have one or a couple small ones. Keep them reachable, but far enough away to where you have to sweat a little to get there.
Make time for yourself
Last, but not least. Don’t loose yourself in all of hustle and bustle. Take time to breath and continue focusing on yourself. Take time to r e l a x. Something I don’t think anyone does enough but it is so important. It’s really difficult to recharge when you’re burnt out, so taking a break is usually the better option.
Feeling motivated yet?
Alas, let me leave you with some motivational quotes curtesy of the one and only, Pinterest.
Happy Tuesday and have an AMAZING rest of the week! Time to kick some ass!
