Sooo many things I love about the month of August. But, my favorite? That September is NEXT.
Ok ok, let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
At the end of each month, I’ll be sharing with you some of my favorite things involved in my day to day life during the previous month.
For some, August was the start of Fall weather. For me, and the rest of the South, it was a continuation of the Hottest. Summer. Ever. Eventually we’ll get to walk outside without the fear of melting right?
First on the list, the beauty that I’ve carried every single day since the first day of August.
Let me just say, I am a handbag girl. I love them, and I have a ton, but I haven’t had one that I am absolutely in love with. Until THIS.
This handbag is beautiful. It has just the right amount of sleek, and functionality. And the color is absolutely gorgeous. It goes with every outfit I have worn so far. It can be held as a satchel or even worn as a side bag with the longer strap provided.
I struggle SO HARD with buying bags with color. I have a ton of black and brown bags, and honestly I only use a select few.
P.S. One of my most favorite sayings — “Does this come in black?”
Even though this bag does look amazing in black, I had to choose the latter. This olive color is just perfect for my transition into Fall wardrobe and it adds the perfect touch to any outfit.
I received this next favorite as a birthday gift, and it has been my go-to for road trips or any impromptu adventures I go on.
And it actually takes really great pictures in both daylight & nighttime.
I got the color Gray but there are sooo many choices to choose from. The film runs about $20 for 10 sheets but it’s worth it since the pictures turn out so CUTE. It would look awesome if you buy some magnet strips to place on the back of your pictures and cover your fridge in them too.
OK, onto beauty.
My beauty routine isn’t the most intricate. But with that being said, I have a few products that are a must. Specifically, these 2 products are things that I find super useful as we head into the colder months.
My skin gets extremely dry as the weather gets cooler. And I have tried sooooooooooo many expensive moisturizers to try to combat that.
HINT: Don’t waste your money on expensive creams that have a ton of ingredients in them.
Keep it simple.
I use the FRESH Soy Face Cleanser and it is the only thing that is gentle enough for my skin. So when I was on the search for a good moisturizer, I’m not sure why I didn’t think about using something from the same brand. Blonde moment.
I definitely wanted something calming and fresh (HA!) and super hydrating.
This stuff has done incredible wonders for my skin. It keeps my face smooth all through the night and all day, even under my makeup. It comes in a 50ml jar and it’s about $40. The best part? You only need the TINIEST bit.
That means this stuff lasts forever.
And last but not least, my favorite product that I have been using for years, that comes in handy so much in the Fall/Winter time. As you know, I live in Florida. We’re all supposed to look tan. Like all the time. But lets be honest, as soon as it hits below 70 degrees, no ones going to the beach to lay out in the sun. We’re already in jackets and boots.
But, if you want to keep a tan without a tanning bed, I HIGHLY suggest this fake tan.
It’s an Australian brand, called Loving Tan.
But this one is the one to beat.
There’s a couple different products you can get.
Ive used the 2 HR Express Tan before and it works just as well. It works just as it says, put it on and wait two hours and then wash it off. I quickly learned that I am much better off if I can put it on at night & then wake up and wash it off the next morning. So I switched to the Deluxe Bronzing Mousse.
I get it in the color Dark. It’s so easy to use, especially if you get their Deluxe Applicator Mitt to use with it. It goes on with a a bronzed tint, so you can easily see if you’ve missed a spot.
Also, it washes right off of your sheets also if you get a little on them while sleeping
I will eventually do a tanning routine for you guys to show you all my tips and tricks I use when applying this tan. But for now, just go buy it. Its definitely worth it.
That’s all for my August Favorite you guys. Check back in at the end of the month so see what I loved in September.
Spoiler alert: It will probably include Pumpkin Spiced Lattes.
