Unless you have been living under a rock, you know what happened this past weekend. Prince Harry married Megan Markle resulting in one of the most amazing royal weddings I have ever seen.
If you grew up watching princess movies, then this wedding gave you major feels. Castles, royalty, horse drawn carriage, etc. It checked all the boxes. I don’t know if it’s just because I am married to a Brit, but I was completely enamored by this wedding. Seriously, there’s not a lot of reasons I would wake up at 5am to watch something. This was worth it.
Let’s recap some major (and amazing) parts of the real life Disney princess scene.
We have to start with the dress. And I mean, THE dress.
Yall, I cannnnnn’t. First off, her style is SO simple and chic. Meghan received a lot of backlash about her Givenchy dress with a lot of critics saying that it was ill-fitting, plain, and just boring. I think the complete opposite. I think less is more in this situation. Royal brides could have any extravagant dress they want and wear a ton of makeup. But no, not this one. Her dress was simple and chic and her makeup was the exact same. No different than usual, she carried herself gracefully. And her veil, representing all 53 countries of the Commonwealth, was the perfect touch.
You go Meghan, you go girl.
Those little cuties helping her hold that veil? Let’s talk about the pageboys + flower girls.
OMG. Look how cute. Have you seen a more adorable entourage!? With Princess Charlotte and prince George making their debut, these little helpers were the cutest touch to the big day. Let’s face it, they did a better job at holding that veil than I would have. LOL.
Look at that happy couple!
Some more notable details? Let’s talk guests.
I have to mention this first one because I almost fell over when I saw David Beckham arriving.
Lawd. How are you going to shop up to someone’s wedding looking THAT good?? Same goes for you Posh Spice.
Alright, how downright gorgeous did George Clooney’s wife Amal look in that yellow dress? I love their daring yellow pops they have going on and her hat and her shoes and… you get it.
Serena, Serena, Serena. Let’s talk about Mrs. Pretty in Pink for a second. She looks stunning in her blush tones and so happy with hubby Alexis by her side.
Okay, you guys know I can’t leave out the most important woman in England.
Look at THE QUEEN. She is giving me major Spring vibes with her green coat and white gloves. No one is classier than the queen, no one. She even get’s an empty seat next to her at the wedding, per protocol. Why can’t I get that on airplanes??
But yes, we wish the happy couple the best of luck in this crazy thing called marriage. All the best to them and I think everyone around the world had the best time watching this amazing wedding.
Did you watch the wedding!? Did you wake up at 5am for it!? Let me know in the comments below so that i don’t feel like the only crazy one.
