How did Christmas get here so fast!? I feel like just yesterday I put up my Christmas tree and now I have to think about when I’m gonna take it down…? Touchy subject, I know.
First things first, I hope you and your families/friends had an incredible Christmas filled with lots of food, wine, and joy. I can’t help but be reminded how blessed I am around this time of year, to have the things and people in my life that I do.
This year was no different, spent with family and friends and eating a lot of food and drinking a lot of wine.
We had a White Elephant party this year a couple days before Christmas. If you’ve never had or been to a White Elephant party before, bless you. but seriously, you need to do it. It’s an awesome way to get your friends together and have a fun time swapping gifts. I hosted, so of course I spent the day of cleaning and getting my house “party-ready”. I also indulged in some Holiday cocktail making, using most of the recipes from my Holiday Cocktail Ideas post! Check it out if you haven’t yet!
Christmas morning was nice and quiet. This was my husband and I’s first Christmas morning alone, just the two of us. And it was brilliant. We sipped coffee and opened our presents and then made some breakfast. And yes, mimosas.
Speaking of champagne, Moet & Chandon came with me to Christmas dinner. Not only is this champagne incredible, but it’s a great gift, which is how I was given it. Look how beautiful the packaging is!
My outfit was festive this year also! I thought an Ugly Christmas Sweater was the way to go. And I was right. I paired mine with my Urban Outfitters denim and my Lucky Brand heels. Both the denim and heels I have been wearing non-stop due to how. freaking, comfortable. they are. Click on the link to shop and you’re welcome! (P.S. The heels are sold out in my tan color but they are available in THE most beautiful orange color.)
I hope you has an amazing Christmas and that you have an even better New Year! Look out for my next post, with some New Years Eve inspired outfits xx
