So, in my last post I mentioned that I had some exciting news. The # 1 guess? A baby.
But, I’m sorry to say that that’s not the news.
*Cue half of you clicking off the page now in disappointment*
But, if you decided to stay… I CHOPPED MY HAIR OFF!
Yeah. I did it. I went there. I said bye to my long hair that I spent two years growing. But it’s only hair right? It’ll grow back.
I had at least a foot of hair chopped off and I felt weight lifted off of my shoulders immediately. Literally. I haven’t cut my hair in over 2 years and I have some pretty thick hair, so this was a huge difference. Here’s a before & after for some reference!
I found an amazing hairstylist already, based off a friend’s recommendation. Her name is Erin and she knew exactly what I wanted. Check out some of her work on her insta page —–> @blondeher
Why, you ask? If you have thick hair, you feel me. Not only did I never feel like doing my hair, BUT THE TANGLES. OH MY. If I could only show you the size of the knots that I would have to tackle every night. It took me at least 20 minutes to fully un-tangle my hair at night. And no amount of conditioner would help. So, my way to solve this? Get rid of it. And I am so so happy that I did it.
In my next post, I’ll show some ways that I’ve learned to style my new hair, along with some tips and tricks to share with you all!
